Appreciate you sharing your lived experience and research about the long-term ineffectiveness (and consequences) of the 1,200-calorie diet. It's not an easy concept to refute due to its conventional buy-in as you said. Also appreciate you acknowledging how trying to eat intuitively is simple but not easy, especially if you've grown accustomed to following a strict diet plan. Hopefully, one day the conventional wisdom will be that the 1,200-calorie diet is pure nonsense.
